HICAPS is Australia’s leading electronic claims & payments system, which offers patients the convenience of automatic claims processing on the spot, in the practice.
HICAPS now enables to provide patients with efficient and easy payment processing for private health fund claims and Medicare claims.
This method of payment saves time in attending health insurance offices to claim rebates, or waiting for rebate cheques to arrive.
Patient who has got a health fund under Hicaps need to bring along their health insurance card when they come in for treatment, and we’ll swipe it to make an immediate claim to their insurer. Health insurance companies don’t permit the manual entry of patient details, so it’s important that the patient always remember to bring their card for this reason.
Once the claim has been made, all the patient would have to do is settle the balance with us, which can be done via any of the payment methods mentioned. If the patient require dental treatment at our practice, we’ll always tell them upfront how much everything will cost, so they will be fully informed and can prepare for this from the outset. Patient can then check beforehand with their health insurer about what their rebate entitlement will be for any future treatment.
